Freedom Kapono Dennis began his maritime career in the Indonesian archipelago in 1990 and still actively sails in the U.S. Merchant Marine fleet.
He is a 1996 graduate of the California Maritime Academy and continues his maritime training at MITAGS (Maritime Institute of Training and Graduate Studies).
Freedom has sailed on commercial Tankers, Ro-Ro vessels, Container ships, and Inter-island Tug & Barges.
Freedom began Marine Surveying as an Apprentice in 2007. He earned his Certification with NAMS Global (National Association of Marine Surveyors) in 2013.
